Meet the Founder

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Dr. Logan Johnson (she/her/hers) spent her childhood moving across Florida, Washington, and Ohio before she and her mother found stability in Columbus, Ohio. Moving between communities taught her to observe closely, question deeply, and recognize how systems shape people’s opportunities and experiences. It also gave her an enduring appreciation for the insight we gain when we remain open to ideas and experiences beyond our own.

Her educational journey reflects the breadth of these experiences. Dr. Johnson attended private, inner-city, and suburban schools before beginning her college education at Columbus State Community College. She later earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from The Ohio State University and a Master of Arts in Educational Studies, Master of Science in Criminal Justice, and Ph.D. in Educational Studies from the University of Cincinnati. Her scholarship examines Black erasure in federal education policy and its implications for Black students’ understandings of success, the purpose of higher education, and the strength of our broader democracy.

Dr. Johnson brings professional experience in mixed-methods research, strategic communications, and federal public affairs. She is passionate about applying her expertise to efforts that empower communities, strengthen democratic institutions, and promote accountable governance. In response to today’s political climate and an increasingly crowded media landscape, she founded The Integrity Line on the belief that meaningful public impact begins with honest personal reflection, a practice she believes is too often overlooked in leadership. Through the platform’s editorial work and consulting services, she helps individuals and organizations examine their ideas, communicate them clearly, and translate them into action.
